Anti- Sexual Harassment Cell

The effective enforcement of the basic human right of gender equality, and guarantee against any possible sexual demeanour and abuse, especially against sexual harassment at workplaces: these have been the priorities of the guidelines issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. The UGC reiterated these concerns vis-a-vis institutions of higher education, advising them to establish a permanent cell and a committee to develop guidelines to combat sexual harassment and violence against women. Following these guidelines, SFGC has constituted the Anti - sexual Harassment Cell. This Cell will ensure the creation of a congenial and conducive ambience in which students, teachers and administrative staff can work together free from apprehensions of sexual violence, harassment, exploitation and intimidation.

Goal

To uphold the Constitutional mandate ensuring the basic human rights of gender equality, and guarantee against sexual demeanour and abuse in the campus, in order to ensure the creation of a congenial and conducive ambience for students, teachers and administrative staff.
